1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using Decodify ("the Extension"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Extension.

2. Description of Service

Decodify is a Chrome browser extension that translates AI coding agent actions into plain-language subtitles in real time. It works on supported platforms including Bolt.new, Lovable, and Replit.

3. Free Tier

The Extension is provided free of charge with the following limits:

• Unlimited template-based translations (deterministic, local)
• 50 AI-powered translations per day

We reserve the right to modify these limits with reasonable notice.

4. Bring Your Own Key (BYOK)

You may optionally provide your own Anthropic API key to enable unlimited AI translations. By doing so:

• You are responsible for all charges incurred on your Anthropic account
• Your API key is stored locally in your browser only
• We do not store, log, or have access to your API key on our servers
• You must comply with Anthropic's terms of service for API usage

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Extension
• Use the Extension to violate any applicable law or regulation
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits or abuse the service
• Redistribute the Extension outside the Chrome Web Store

6. Intellectual Property

The Extension, including its code, design, and documentation, is the intellectual property of Decodify. The Extension is licensed, not sold. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Extension is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that translations will be accurate, complete, or error-free.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Decodify shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Extension, including but not limited to damages for loss of data, profits, or goodwill.

9. Third-Party Services

The Extension interacts with third-party services (Anthropic, Cloudflare, Upstash). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies.

10. Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Extension at any time by uninstalling it.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the applicable local jurisdiction. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Barcelona, Spain.
